The American University of Antigua prides itself on its alumni consistently finding the residency program that best fits them. Our graduates practice in a variety of different fields all over the country. With U.S. medical school seats becoming more difficult to obtain every year, AUA offers the opportunity for qualified individuals to get the highest quality education at a foreign medical school.
In 2009, AUA’s eligible graduates were able to enter residency programs in family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, preliminary medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics, anesthesiology, and obstetrics. In 2007 & 2008, virtually all AUA U.S. eligible graduate obtained residencies in the United States. Our success for placing our students in the U.S. residency programs of their choice speaks for itself.
AUA is a proud participant in the National Residency Match Program. In 2009, the NRMP took on 30,000 applicants, a number that is growing every year. This four day program takes place every March and has an excellent track record for placing the right individuals in the right positions.
