AUA College of Medicine graduated physicians will have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge needed to be able to face the increasing challenges healthcare presents globally -- specifically in the United States. AUA is dedicated to breaking down the barriers that have prevented underrepresented minorities from obtaining a medical education in the United States and subsequent licensure.
With a rigorous curriculum comparable to the finest medical schools in the U.S., AUA prepares its students to achieve passing scores on the U.S. Medical Licensing Examinations and provides clinical clerkship opportunities in some of the best teaching hospitals in the U.S. We have affiliations with 20 teaching hospitals where students complete their clinical training. These hospitals are located throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Our faculty is composed of outstanding, experienced teachers, all of who have MD or PhD degrees in their respective fields. Many faculty members are board certified and also have been honored for their teaching abilities. The primary mission of our faculty is to educate our students and help them succeed in the demanding environment of a medical school. Our high teacher to student ratio allows our faculty to be available for one-on-one mentoring and to provide guidance for the students.
