He started teaching at the T.O.R. Memorial High School in 1965, immediately after completing his Cambridge General Certificate of Education examinations. After a two-year stint in the airline industry, Mr. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with honors, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration at Florida International University. Upon his return to Antigua in 1992, he taught at the Princess Margaret School, where he eventually became Deputy Principal. He was also a part-time English instructor at the UWI School of Continuing Education at St. John’s. After serving as Education Officer in the Ministry of Education for over five years, Mr. Joseph retired from his position and began serving as a substitute lecturer at the Teacher Training Department of the Antigua State College.
