AUA School of Nursing Overview

A unique nursing program. A beautiful location. Your dream awaits.
The American University of Antigua (AUA) School of Nursing now offers a unique multi-level nursing degree option. As an international leader in healthcare education, AUA recognizes the nationwide shortage of nurses, and is committed to alleviating this situation.

ASN Program
First, you would begin with the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree program in Antigua, which if successfully completed, allows you the option* to enter the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program (conferred by Lehman College of City University of New York - CUNY). The ASN campus located on the beautiful island of Antigua, in the Caribbean, is an ideal place to study nursing. The campus is fully equipped with the most modern U.S. equipment and facilities. The atmosphere is safe and serene and you will have all the comforts of home.

The program provides you valuable hands-on hospital experience from the start, making you potentially more valuable in the workforce. (This program can be completed in 12-24 months, depending on accepted transfer credits/advanced standing.)

BSN Program (option)
Upon graduation from the ASN program on the island, you are then offered an amazing opportunity* (if you choose to do so) to transition directly into Lehman College's (CUNY) Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. AUA’s affiliation with Lehman (CUNY) can help reduce valuable time and get you on a truly targeted and advanced nursing track at a U.S. accredited nursing program, opening up your options to further your studies or occupational pursuits in the United States.

*Entrance into Lehman will be granted upon successful completion of our six-trimester Associate of Science in Nursing program (*total of 90 credit hours are necessary) and passage of the NCLEX-RN.
